Setting up intercompany relationships
Setting up intercompany relationships requires that your administrator make visible the "Represents Subsidiary" field on the vendor and customer forms. Once that is done, you can create intercompany vendors and customers. Setting up forms and fields is outside the scope of this help file.
Creating a new relationship (vendor or customer) is just like setting up any other relationship, except that you must include a "Represents Subsidiary" and you may not tie the entity to more than one subsidiary in NetSuite.
Here's an example of an intercompany vendor.
NOTE: NetSuite requires that each entity (customer or vendor) have a unique name globally. To ensure this, we recommend that you name your intercompany entities as follows: {Subsidiary name} ({vendor or customer} in {Primary Subsidary}.
